I have vaginal itching and whitish ( looks like cottage cheese) vaginal discharge. i already consult a gynecologist. she prescribed me AZI-ONCE 250mg tab 4 tabs single dose and clindamycin vaginal cream. She also did high vaginal swab for my discharges. There is no result yet of my HVS that is why I am worried. I am not sexually active. Its been 1 year since the last time I have my sexual contact. Do you have any idea what is my infection and what is the cause of that?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Vaginal infection need not always from intercourse, it could be spread from surrounding skin, like from anus or urethra. or could be from using unhygienic inner wears or pads. could be due to reduced immunity. Your symptoms are in more favor of fungal infection probably candidal infection. Continue treatment prescribed by your doctor. Wash your inner wears in hot water and sun dry. Get blood sugar test done, to rule out diabetes.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
