Have Varicocele, Painful. Does It Cause Permanent Infertility?

hi doctors, i m 22 years old, i m suffering from right varicocele for more than 3 years, since i m 19yrs old until now. my doctor said that surgery is not necessary because i can tolerate the pain.. the pain is 4 out of 10 ( 10 is most painful). My question is, is varicocele can lead to permanent infertility? and can i have surgery after 5 more years? thanks!

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have moderate varicocele on Rt side since last 3 years .

It is not necessary that every person with varicocele will have problem of infertility.

But the incidence of infertility are more in a person with varicocele.

Please get your semen analysis done to assess the sperm count.motility and morphology of the sperms.

You can certainly wait for few more years keeping in mind that surgery may or may not help to improve your infertility problem.
