Have White Discharge, STD Negative, Suggested Yeast Infection. Had A Hystorectomy. Now Have Greenish Discharge. Bacterial Infection?

i have a new sex partner and about a week after we had sex i started to have a white discharge itching but no odor. i went and had an exam and was told that it was yeast infection and that all my test for an std was negative. is there a need for me to be concerned. I had a hystorectomy in december and this was my first time having intercourse since the surgery. the doctor gave me a pill for the yeast infection and then the discharge went from white to a greenish yellow color and my back and lower abdomin started to hurt. the last time i had a reaction like this was because i actually had a bacterial infection and they were mistakably treating me for a yeast infection

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

As you are having greenish yellow discharge there is possibility of mixed infection.
So you once go for vaginal swab culture and sensitivity to find out the possible causative organism involved and its sensitivity to drugs.
After that according to the report you can take treatment.
Both partners should be treated simultaneously. And you have to maintain abstinence till the completion of treatment.
Check for blood sugar levels once.

Take care.
