Have Whitish Patches On Face, Suggested Tacroz Ointment. How To Get Treated?
hi doc.. I have few whitish patches on my face....i had visited dermstologist and she suggestex tacroz ointment telling that i have fungal infection....along with this i have a small patch on my eyebrow where there is no hair growth....please let me know about treatment..
whitish patch on face can either be tinea versicolor or vitiligo or pityrasis alba most commonly.
It is very difficult to differentiate between the three without looking at it. Tacrolimus is used for the treatment of alba, as well as early vitiligo. I think your dermatologist is suspecting pityrasis alba. Since she has seen your lesion, we should trust her diagnosis. Tacrolimus has a proven result for alba in 8-9 weeks. So you should see improvement within 2 months.
Hope I helped
