Have Yeast Infection, Clitoris Swollen, Pain While Walking, Took Minstat. Periods Going On. How To Get Relief?

I have a yeast infection but I didn't know I had it until yesterday. After I had sex there was white discharge everywhere, the sex was painful and I was itchy and swollen. I have never had a yeast infection before now but I have all the symptoms and my partner and I have only had sex with each other. This morning I took Monistat 1 for the yeast infection. My clitoris is so swollen and it is painful to walk, sit, etc. I also just got my period so I have bloody and white discharge but it does not smell. Is there anything I can do for the pain and throbbing, it is unbearable.

Hi,
It seems that you are having secondary bacterial infection along with fungal infection.
Due to itching and poor local hygiene during period might have give rise to this infection.
Apply Triple acting cream locally.
Go for one antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines after consulting your doctor.
Keep local hygine clean, dry and airy.
Ok and take care.

You have to start nsaid to subside pain and antibiotic like oflox/ornidazole,cefixime,azithromysin.
Vaginal tablet containing clotrimazole/tinidazole/lactic acid bacillus and clindamycin gel will be helpful to get fast recovery.
Take tab.levocetrizine to subside itching.
If it is recurrent than go for investigations like CBC,FBS,PPBS,URINE,PAP smear,usg abdomen.
Your partner should start complete course of medicines.
Avoid sex till get complete cure.Always go for protected sex.
Take proper local care for hygiene.Use medicated soap to clean.
Consult your gynecologist for better guidance and medical management.
