Having Adenoids. Throat Is Red And Inflamed. What Could This Be?
I have no tonsils (they were removed two years ago) but I do have adenoids. However, where my tonsils used to be are white blisters with black spots. When looking at the rest of my throat it is red and inflammed. And I am positive that my adenoids are swollen because I am having difficulty through nose and rough pain behind my uvula when swallowing and used one of those throat mirrors and it was swollen. I have not been to the doctor yet but was wondering what it could be.

Having Adenoids. Throat Is Red And Inflamed. What Could This Be?
Hi, it is possible you have pharyngitis, that means infection of the throat. Even if you have removed the tonsils, the infection localizes at the throat and gives the same complaints to you. you may use local antiseptics for the throat, normal saline for the nose, and if it doesn t go away than consult a doctor.
