Having Bursitis, Tendinitis After Shoulder Injury. Prescribed Cortisone, 3 Months After Fall. Should I Take This Medicine?
I have Bursitis following a shoulder injury thought to be Rotator Cuff injury which turned out to be a crack fracture of the shoulder ball joint. Doctor says I have bursitis and tendonititis of the shoulder recommends Cortisone since it is 3 months since fall and still painful shoulder movements. should I consider same?

Cortisone is used as a powerful anti inflammatory drug when other drugs are not helping to get relief from the pain.You can use this but with caution as it cause dependence and so you need to be directed by your physician about the tapering of the dose.Thank you.

In bursitis and tendinitis there is inflammation to bursa and tendon. Cortisone(steroid) injection locally will be helpful to reduce the inflammation. it will give relief in pain and inflammation.
