Having Cramping Lower Stomach. Hernia Or Appendix Problems?

Hi Dr. Grief... I am a police officer and last night I got into a foot chase, in which I ran full sprint probably 100 yards.. when I got home last night I fell asleep and was awaken by a cramping lower stomach. I am concerned because the pain was on and off for a couple hours until I fell back asleep. My diet isnt the greatest but I am not obese or anything. I was wondering if it is just an upset stomach maybe from the food, or if it could be a Hernia or possiblt even apendix problems.. your outlook would be greatly appreciated

hi,
thank you for your query.

stomach cramps can be due to lot of reasons-
-Gastroenteritis
-constipation
-food poisoning
-kidney stone
-appendicitis
-Urinary tract infection

i would advises you to take lots of fluids and have a regular food and sleep schedule,it would help with most of the symptoms.but they still persist i would advise you to consult a GP for medication.

thank you,
wishing you good health
