Having Irregular Periods. Had Unprotected Sex During Ovulation. Pregnancy Test Negative. Too Early To Test?
Hi. I am currently ttc. About 4 days ago I spotted, only three or four drops on my underwear. My period commenced on the 29th of June and we had unprotected sex during ovulation. I have irregular cycles but I should be getting my period around the 29/30 of this month. I tested the day of spotting, four days ago and again today but getting negatives. Is it too early to test? I am getting whitish discharge and also very tired but might be in my head. Thanks!
Probably your LMP was 29th May. Here, you need to undergo one blood test for beta-hCG or repeat home pregnancy test after 7 days to get accurate result in absence of period. Early pregnancy test is less significant.
Following test result, you can consult with gynecologist for other relevant investigation (like USG scan, hormone assay etc) to rule out causes of irregular period. Take suggestive measures accordingly.
Take healthy diet with vitamin & folic acid. Maintain genital hygiene. Avoid mental stress and control body wt. Good luck.
Hello.. You have to wait for a week after a missed period, may give you the accurate result.A hormone known as HCG is the reliable marker of pregnancy, can be detected only after implantation. When testing is done too early , false negative result may occur.
Thanks & regards Dr Soumya
