Having Large Bowel Movement Due To Anal Fissure. Anal Area Is Painful And Stinging

I have a question about anal fissures and itching. I have very large bowel movements and because I have anal fissures, my anal area often has painful stinging, even while I'm in the shower trying to clean the area. It seems as if my anal area and scrotal area are always itchy despite the fact that I shower every day and take care of myself.

Dear patient,
anal fissures are usually caused by chronic constipation. As you said, you pass a large amount of stools, which most likely is the cause. You can use stool softners (lactulose, bisacodyl, sodium picosulfate) and increase amount of fibre (vegetables, fruits, cereals) in your diet. If this does not improve your condition, you may need to visit a consultant, as your problem may be a tight sphincter. Which requires a very small surgical procedure to cure.
