Having Leg Infected With Polio. Unable To Walk Like Normal Person. Can I Get Leg Operated?
hi my freind gt one leg infected by polio since brith.. He had 2 major operations while he was in his early ages. and now he is able to walk but not like a normal person. There is some size issues in his legs yet. he wanted to operated his leg but he is scared becasue of the recovery time length. He is 28 years at the moment. what you will recommend for him..
Hi. I'm not sure of surgeries for post polio abnormalities in the legs, as it is unlikely for surgery to improve the muscle bulk around the legs, which is required to walk. The best way to do this is physiotherapy and exercises. I would also suggest orthrotic devices for him, depending on the need. Thank you.
