Having Noticed A Tear On The Opening Of The Penis After An Injury
I am an 18 year old male and when I was 12 I tore the opening to my penis on a rock while I was bodysurfing. I waited a year for it to heal but it never did and now years later it does not hurt but it is torn open about a quarter of an inch and might be getting wider (I can't tell). I'm worried. Advice?
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you had injury to your penis at the age of 12 years and since then you have noticed that your external urinary meatus is wide open .
Since you do not have any urinary problem you need not worry at all.It will not have any adverse effect in passing urine or sexual activities in future .
Any attempt to narrow down or suture it may result in formation of stricture of the terminal part of urethra.
