Having Noticed Diarrhea & Pain In The Lower Abdomen

I ve been having pain in my lower abdominal region when I am trying to poop. I have been having diarrhea for the past 4 days, and I m worried that I have major constipation. I took mirlax today to try to ease the constipation. 4 hours later I went to the bathroom, and it was not runny, it was more apple-sauce like. The abdominal pain hasn t gone away, and I m worried if it s something more severe. Any advice would help!

Hi,

Constipation and pain at the time of defecation is indication of some infection and pathological condition but chronicity matters the great if it is not chronic then no need to worry about this but drink more water have more fiber containing diet, try some Isabgol powder for making stool soft, for infection. I would suggest to try Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days.

Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
