Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

It could possibly a muscle cramp. These can be effectively treated by self care measures like
- stretching and performing gentle massage of the affected region
- Moist heat application or a heating pad over the painful area to relax the taut muscles
- taking a hot shower on the cramped muscle will help

Adequate levels of Hydration is to be maintained to avoid cramping.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
