Hi,Rizwan,
thanks for query,
It seems that along with dandruff you might have sebohrric dermatitis.
Go for regular hair wash with medicated soap and continue applying antidandruff shampoo like selen regularly.
Avoid wet hairs for long time.
Take medicine for itching as itching may cause infection.
Ok and bye.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Ram Choudhary's  Response
Dear Rizwan,
Dandruff is scaly epidermis that clogs the hair, some persons tend to form more scale while other less but every body has it, It becomes particularly visible and a cosmetic issue when there is fungal infection associated which makes it messy and more itchy and if still uncared then supra-added bacterial infections come and result in boils and boggy painful swelling in scalp- As is your case.

The first thing I would advise is get your Diabetes status checked-get fasting blood sugar levels and HbA1c levels.

You have asked about home remedy- answer is yes it is- Improve your personal hygiene, have bath at least one times a day. Improve the Protein quantity and quality in your food and cut down on refined sugars and fast foods, Increase MUFA & PUFA in food fat content and yes include exercise in your schedule.

In medical management a diaspora of choices but I would like to go strait forward to avoid much confusion. Choose a shampoo that contains Selenium sulfide and Clotrimazole/Miconazole.
Start using with lukewarm water, Just use like any shampoo but keep it in the hair for 5-10minutes
Apply daily for one week then Alternate day the next week and then twice a week to continue. On other days you can use shampoos of your choice.

I do not advise systemic antifungals for dandruff but if you still have scalp boils then take the following-

Tab. Augmentin 625mg 8hourly for 5 days

Cream Fusidin/Fusiwal to be applied locally for 5 days BD.

I am pretty sure that if you stick to mentionedadvise you will get cured.
