Having Severe Pain In My Ribs. What Could This Be?

Hi, im 40yr old female with no health problems ..I was at work leaning into a tote bin which was putting some pressure on my ribs to pick up 5lb bags and heard a pop sound Coming from right lower rib area and pain shot threw it. Now when I walk it hurts unless I put light pressure on it, its painful when I breathe in hard, blow my nose, cough, sneeze, twist my upper body. Even when I pick something heavy up or pushing something with my right hand. When I push on that area its very painful. Could it be dislocated or something else?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal pain.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).
You can include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones.
Physiotherapy exercise will also be helpful.

If pain still persists, kindly get an X ray Chest to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.
There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.

Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
