Having Small White Patches On Both Inner Thighs, What Could This Be?
my daughter is 4 years old and has small white patches on both of her inner thighs. they don t itch but I ve noticed them just appear in this one particular area. She is Hispanic and white, so her skin is a little darker so the patches are more noticeable. What could this be?
Dear Friend Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Charu , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.
Such light colored patches both inner thighs can be due to previtiligo or atopic dermatitis. Both of these conditions require different modes of treatment.
I need to know following details 1. is there family history of vitiligo? 2. Is your daughter's skin dry ? 3. does she get recurrent cold or cough? 4 any personal or family history of asthma?
Kindly reply to my questions and attach a pic of the lesions.
Or you can consult your dermatologist so that examination can be done and correct diagnosis can be made.
This is my advice for you at this point of time Good Luck.
