Having Vitamin B3 Deficiency. Prescribed With Uprise D3. Suggest The Dosage?

Hello ,

My query is regarding a difference in opinion !!!
My mom has been detected of deficiency of vitamin D3 and she was prescribed to have a dosage of Uprise D3 one tablet a week but then after seeing no results in the reports she saw another doc who prescribed the same tablet but with a dosage of one tablet a day.... could you suggest what should be the proper dosage

Thanks for query on HCM.
D3 60 k tablet or sachet once weekly with warm milk for eight weeks is ideal dosage.If not improved with oral treatment than go for intra muscular d3 injections once weekly for 8 weeks.you can repeat it after 6 months.
Morning sun bath is advisable.
Go for check up after 6 months.
Ibendronate,risedronate will be helpful to prevent osteoporosis.
Also give b12,folic acid and other supplements.
Keep in touch with your doctor.
