Headache, CT Brain Scan Showed Subdural Hemorrhage With Effacement Of Adjacent Sulcal Spaces. Advice?
hi, my dad of age 64 yrs had headache for past 20-25 days. as per doctors advice we had taken a CT brain scan. The impression noted is : diffuse left frontal and parietal subdural haemorrhage with mild effacement of adjacent sulcal spaces - acute / subacute subdural haemorrhage. what will be the advice for this disease?
I went through the history you have posted. It seems your father is having subdural hemorrhage. Sub-dural hemorrhage requires treatment to prevent raise of intra cranial pressure and other associated complications. The treatment options are either medical in the form of reducing the intracranial pressure by use of drugs like mannitol, glycerol, acetazolamide or by surgical drainage of the hemorrhage.
Do consult your doctor for further evaluation and treatment.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you for writing to health care magic. With regards
