Hello
Welcome to HCM

Divaa 500 is Sodium Valproate and it is a good drug used in migraine headache. Your MRI came normal and you were having acute headaches. You are taking this medicine for last 5-6 months and now you are concerned about the side effects of this medicine. See over all this drug is a safe drug and is free of serious side effects. Mild rise in weight gain, slight decrease in platelet count, reversible hair loss are seen with chronic use, but risk benefit ratio is towards benefit. So if you are getting benefit then there is no need to discontinue this medicine.

If you want to wean off from this medicine then you can take advise of your psychiatrist. Reduction of the doses over 4 weeks prevent withdrawal headaches.

Thanks
