Headache, Dropping Eye, Brain Fog, Feeling Hot, Excessive Sweating, Numbness In Fingers, Excessive Sleeping. Aneurysm?

My husband in December 2012 was shoveling the driveway and came in the house and nearly passed out he felt a tightness gathering in the back of his head with an unbareable pressure and then he felt it release. It made him naseaus. Immediately afterwards, the blood vessels in his right eye all popped, and he got a bloody nose, his head still ached but not as bad. Went to the family doc. they told him to take tylenol.
(fastforward to beginning of April 2013)
My husband again was outside doing yard work (nothing strenuous just picking up sticks) and all of a sudden he felt the right side of his face drop, couldn't talk clearly. I immediately drove him to the ER room. They told him he had high blood pressure and did a CT scan but didn't give him medicine for bp in case it was a mini stroke, it might interfere. He had a follow up appointment with the family physician they prescriped viacodin. Since then he has developed a bunch of other symptoms. He gets sharp headaches on the right side of head that feel worse than a migraine but only last a few minutes, his right eye constantly droops, he has brain fogginess, gets extremely hot at times with sweat pouring off his head, his right hand pinky ring and middle finger becomes numb, and no matter how much sleep he gets, he could always sleep more. He recently had another episode at work where he became burning hot, could not think clearly, was fogging up his safety glasses, sharp head pains and couldn't communicate. He was taken to a different ER and they did another CT scan and took a lot of blood. Was tested for lyme disease... Those results showed nothing. *His work doctor said they felt he had an aneurysm and put him on light duty. * He had a follow up appointment today with his family doctor (which I am fed up with the family doc. didn't take the time to listen to husbands symptoms...my husband was trying to say he learned he has immediate family with aneurysm history) and the doctor said he is just experiencing right sided headache migraines.
We made an appointment with a neurologist in mid July but nobody but his work doctor seems to think this as being serious, my husband is scared to do anything because he's afraid he might make himself worse. I don't believe it as just being a migraine, I have had them all my life an while the pain is high they don't come and go as fast as my husband is experiencing.( he is not sensitive to light, or sounds) He wakes up daily with a dull ache in his head and dizzy then throughout the day the other symptoms come and go. I also believe high blood pressure can add to it and why hasn't anyone tried to address that it is around 155/105 to 150/95?
So my question is should I be scared that he's going to keel over with everyday activities, should he just be taking it easy? Should I find a different doctor? Do you feel this could be an aneurysm? I worry about him driving back and forth to work that he could have an episode at anytime. The worst part is not knowing what is going on with him, I just want him to feel better.

Hi,

Based of the information it seems a very complicated issues and any expert will not be able to give enough information without knowing the entire diagnostic test result. But I will try my level best to explain you from the information you provided.

The aneurysm is basically a bulging blood vessel due to prolonged pressure, the pressure to the vessel is given by the high blood pressure. Now their is already enough damage to the vessels in the brain that any more pressure may cause it to break and in turn lead to an hemorrhage/ bleeding.

The headaches as far as I understand is from the pulsating motion of the blood vessels as the blood vessel are bulging then average size they will cause pressure on brain and the brain will interpret it as headache.

Dizziness is for the changing blood flow, and taking Blood pressure that changes a pressure drastically will increase the dizziness for a while as brain is adjusted to be at higher pressure. Some times low blood glucose lead to dizziness.

Other symptoms like hot temperature and pain changes are due to stroke/ nerve damage due to lack of blood supply to that specific nerves.

Treatment need to be done are
1) medication for lowering blood pressure
2) keeping watching aneurysm.
3) Replacing sugar via fruit juice without sodium will help to reduce the dizziness.
4) No heavy exercises , simple walking is ok. No stressful work load, decrease salt intake, no smoking, no caffeine.
5) Lot of emotional support, but make sure not showing pity.

Above treatment will help him, in getting his life back to some what of normal days.

hope it helps.
