Heart Burn Not Going With Change Of Diet And Trying Antacids Such As Tums. Sour On Stomach. Remedy?
I have continues heartburn that will not go away after changing my diet and trying antacids, such as Mylanta, tums, and apple cider vinegar. I also tried goats milk. That seemed to sour on my stomach. It didn't really help. The only thing I found that has helped at all is Papaya Enzyme pills that I got from GNC. What should I try?
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).
It appears that you are having acid reflux disease. For this take a proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole and a prokinetic agent like domperidone. Also: 1.Avoid fatty meals 2. Don’t lie down soon after meals for at least half hour 3.Take small and frequent meals, instead of full meals at a time 4. wear loose clothes 5. If you are overweight or obese do weight reduction with dieting and exercise
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
