Hello. Unfortunately, I have been suffering from health problems concerning the facial area for a few years now. In 2016 I had surgery to reduce my nasal cornets that had become strangely enlarged making very difficult, almost impossible, to breathe normally. In the intervening years, a rare disease called buccal exostosis emerged that caused abnormal growths of bone in my mouth and in the long run severe pain in my oral cavity, gums, eyeballs and head. A few months before the surgery needed to remove this bones (2022), I had to resort to pain therapy with targin and then cannabis (my kidneys were suffering for the FAN drugs abuse). After the operation in my mouth I had very few teeth left. I tried before a removable denture made in thermoplastic, then another one in acrylic resin. Unfortunately, I can wear such prostheses for 1.2 hours at most as the gum quickly becomes inflamed and I experience pain and discomfort, even without chewing. If I try to chew with the prostheses, the pain immediately becomes unbearable. I recently visited a specialist in dentistry for fixed implants with screws, and received advice from him to avoid fixed implants as they could reactivate the deep pain for which I entered pain therapy. This specialist in the report concluded ..likely presence of atypical neuralgia After observing the mouth, the oral pathology specialist concluded that healing of the bone and gums had occurred perfectly. Ruling out that the pains are related to gums and bone, he believes it is likely a nerve problem (probably the trigeminal given the areas where the pain occurs). He also added that he has known many patients with buccal exostosis: in the vast majority of cases bone growth does not lead to any pain, it is just a cluttering problem. Unfortunately, in my case, in addition to the encumbrances, severe pain occurs. Although these pains have subsided since the operation, I continue to have headaches, difficulty breathing, and a constant feeling of discomfort and burning in my oral cavity and gums, especially in the area under my nose (I can often count the beats of my heart by feeling it pulsating in my gums just under my nose). For this reason, my primary care physician suggested that I see a neurologist. I currently have only one tooth left that I can chew with, I cannot make fixed implants, and it is not certain that the next dentist will be able to make a removable prosthesis that I could wear for more than 2.3 hours (yet not be able to chew). Since health care wait times in Italy are very long, and I have to travel to Albania soon for a vacation in Sarande and Gyrokaster, I would like to know if there are specialist for this case in Albania Kind regards
