Hemotoman, Eagle Egg On Forehead, Swollen Eyes After Falling. Relief With Ice Pack. When Will Swelling Come Down?

I had a bad fall 2 days ago, lost my balance or slipped into the bathtub,fell downward to I hit the edge of the tub,i did go to the ER, had a ct done the Dr. said the ct was good, just had a hemotoman,and an eagle egg on my forhead. My eye is swollen more so today than yestetday, my eyelid on top is purple, under my eye I have a bag drooping and is is black looking. I have used the ice pack the ER sent home with me. Does seem to help for a while, but the swellen still comes back. Is this normal, and is there anything I can do to make my eye look any better, or how long will it take for the swellen to start going down? Looks as if I been in a car reck...

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a fall and following which you have swelling of eyelids.
Since you have undergone CT scan and it is normal no need to worry.
The swelling of the eyelids is because of collection of blood under the skin of eyelids as result of injury.
It usually takes 3 to 4 weeks for the blood to get absorbed. The treatment is by cold compress .
