Hepatitis B Tested Positive For 12 U/L Is A Cause For Concern?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...i was tested for hep b and have a positive result of 12 U/L. I had my twinrex vaccinne, all 3 6 years ago. The test states that a value of 10 or greater is consistent with immunity. is this a problem?

Hi welcome to HCM...

You have taken full dose of vaccine.....

Your antibody titre is more than 10 according to your history so you are safe from hepatitis b infection....

Still your liver enzymes value slight elevated...
So for that repeat liver enzymes study after few days along with hbsag detection to rule out hbsag positivity ...(chances of positivity less likely as you are immuned )

Also check your fresh antibody titre report ...
If titre between 10 to 100 than booster dose given ...
