Inguinal hernia always brings a risk of getting stuck. Such situation leads to intestines obstruction and intestines necrosis due to vessels squeezing. In such case you will be in need of emergency surgery. That is why it is advisable to get scheduled for hernia repair surgery and have it planned.
Moreover, you should avoid any heavy objects lifting as it makes your hernias worse.
It is also possible that hernias are causing constipations, however it can has another reason. Therefore if surgery wont bring constipations improvement and your diet is healthy (fiber rich), you should have colonoscopy performed.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
