Herpes Symptoms After Sexual Contact. Is It Sexually Transmitted?
Hi i have had no sexual contact with anyone for two years until 6 days ago, 2 days later I have herpes symptoms, he tells me he has no signs and then says it s nothing my ex wife had it when I was with her...... Can he have given it to me displaying no symptoms he had a test yesterday for all sti will it show up if he has no symptoms, I am so angry.......
Hi there. You have every right to be angry. If your 'friend' had known his ex-wife had it, then he should have been careful & practicing safe sex. Yes it is possible to transmit sans manifesting symptoms oneself! It may not always show up on tests. Nowadays, there is a herpesIgG & IgM immunoglobulin -linked tests for hepres 1 & 2 that are more sensitive. please do these, get yourself treated & use precautions & practice 'safe-sex' henceforth. Cheers & apologies for being candid but felt it was the ned of the hour. Should you desire further details or a private/discreet discussion, please feel free to use our 'ask-a-doctor' feature & i would be happy to be of further assistance. Alternatively, i suggest you meet a good dermatologist/venereologist in your area & would be happy to recommend one. Cheers & Good luck
