High BP, Diabetes. Had Bypass. Taking Natrilix And Ramipril. What Can Be Done?
i am diabtic for last 30 years. i had my bypasssurgery in 1983 and 1997. for last few years i am suffering high bp.in morning my bp is 130/70 and in evening 170/80. i am taking natrilix sr;cilacar 10mg and ramipril 10mg. i am 71 years old and fully active in life and business. please advice what should be taken for bp, vijay kumar jalan, maunath bhanjan, u.p. india.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Two by pass surgery and last one in 1997 i.e.16 years passed and still high blood pressure. As your age is 71 years and B P as you mentioned is 170/ 80 & 130 / 80 evening &morning respectively . It is the diastolic Blood pressure which play havoc in one's life. In your case diastolic blood pressure is within limit so need not to worry. You are taking indamipide ( natrilix), cilacar, ramipril as all these are anti hypertensive ,so blood pressure is well in control , don't change medicine as 170 mm of Hg ( upper one ) systolic is not so high according to your age. Still you m have any problem than consult a nearby physician and get his opinion . In my opinion reduce the dosage of these drugs. Good luck. Dr. HET
