High Blood Pressure, Pulse Rate, ECG Shows Normal. Danger?
my blood pressure has been holding at around 150/95 and my pulse at around 112, I am 59 years old, 5 5 and 130lbs. I have an excellent cholesterol rate and have never had any problems with my blood pressure, I recently had a electrocardiagram and the first results showed heart attack aprbable but they think I may have taken a big breath during the Electro so we re-did it and it showed normal except that my pulse was again at 113 and seems to want to stay there, is this dangerous
Hello Dear and thanks for the query
Heart rate constant at 112-113 is a matter of concern. It can be due to anxiety, High Blood pressure and defect in conduction system of the heart.
In my opinion you must go for 24 hrs holter examination and stress test. But before stress test you have to get control over you blood pressure. Overweight is one of the cause for this so reduce your weight. Consult your doctor again and go through the investigation and get proper treatment for the Hypertension.
Rest of the treatment for heart rate can be planned after the report of holter and stress test.
Hope I have answered your question.
Best Wishes
