High Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Thyroid, High Creatinine. Way To Take Heart Treatment?
Hi Samuel, This is Sravya. My Uncle is suffering from high levels of sugar in blood, blood pressure, thyroid and also having high levels of creatinine. As he is suffering from all these he is unable to take heart treatment. Could you please respond us back. Expecting a better solution for the mentioned problem. Thank you, Sravya
Dear Ms. Sravya
Thanks for writing to us.
It is true that a high creatinine forbids some of the therapies useful in heart disease (e.g. ACE inhibitor/ARB class of drugs.). It would have been better if you had mentioned the actual level if creatinine , potassium and What are the drugs which your doctor wants to give (or could not give). Most of the drugs can be given in patients of diabetes/hypertension and thyroid disorder.
A substitute for ACE inhibitor/ ARB class of drugs in such patients is a combination of ISDN/Hydralazine, which is available in India. But these are empirical suggestions in absence of details.
Feel free to discuss more.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder Singh
