Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You are detected to have Diabetes type II first time as FBS is 198 mg/dl and PPBS is 224 mg this is sufficient to label person as diabetes,if you have any doubt then repeat the tests FBS,PPBS and HbA1c to confirm the diagnosis of Diabetes.
Once it is confirmed you have to take care of diet 30 Kcal/kg body weight avoiding simple sugar from diet and taking proteins, complex carbohydrates in limited quantity.,take regular walking as exercise and in my opinion also start the treatment which you have been prescribed this is good drug Metformin and Gliptin combination.
It is good that your thyroid is normal, please monitor your diabetes that is blood sugar level FBS and PPBS monthly basis, and HBA1c every 3 months.
Other test you can do are Lipid profile,l kidney function and ECG to know cardiac status with Blood pressure check.
Take care
Good Luck.
