Hip And Buttck Pain, Radiating To Thighs, Legs And Heels. Prescribed Nerva. Why Is Pain Persistent?

I'm experiencing pain in my left buttock beside anus and under deep from last couple of year and sometime it lowerdown itself and sometime very severe, but suddenlty from last few months/weeks its quite severe now. I think its originally from left buttock/hip and sometime radiate towards the thigh and down towards the left leg and heel. Met with Ortho doctor who prescribed Nervax 75mg daily twice and Painkiller 3 times daily for 10 days, but no use, as the pain continues if I miss any painkiller medicine. Your valuable suggestion is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

From the symptoms you are telling, problem is in your lower vertebra(Lower Back). These symptoms usually arise from disc prolapse or compression and usually occur in old age. You haven't mention your age.

For the pain you have to take Brufen and Inj Neurobion Forte and you should start sleeping on hard surface.

But if you have come to me i should have advised you to go for MRI Lumber spine. Because it will show level of nerve compression if any. Once there is compression of nerve to level 1 and 2,you have to start physiotherapy along with symptomatic treatment and if its level 3 then treatment of choice will be surgery.

Hope you recover soon.
