Hit At The Back Of Calf, Severe Pain Through Legs, Foot Numbness. What Can Be Done?
I just got kicked in the back of the calf about 5 inches above my achilles and it s excruciating pain soaring through my legs, but my foot is completely numb with little tingles now and then. Besides from icing it, elevating it, and sraying off of it, is there anything I should do? Or do you recommend that I go to the doc?

Hit At The Back Of Calf, Severe Pain Through Legs, Foot Numbness. What Can Be Done?
Hello. Thanks for posting your query. From description it seems to be soft tissue injury . You need an x-ray to rule out any bony injury. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance. Beside icing and elevating it, you can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well. Regards. Dr Saurabh Gupta
