Hit In Jaw Playing Oztag, Cant Close Mouth, Severe Pain. OPG Scheduled. Can Swelling Be Reduced Meanwhile?
Hi..
My daughter was playing Oztag last night and got hit in the jaw by an opposing player.
She has been in a lot of pain and cant close her mouth or eat very well
She went to the doctor today and he sent her for an xray which showed the temporomandibular joint is suboptimal.
In 2 days time she has to go for an OPG...what do we do in the meantime.
I gave her Ibuprofen to help the swelling, is there anything else we can do?

THIS IS DUE TO TEMPEROMANDIBULAR JOINT DISLOCATION.ALONG WITH IBUPROFEN U COULKD HAVE ADDED CHLORZOXOZONE FOR MUSCLE RELAXATION.CONSULT AN EXPERT ORTHOPAEDICIAN.HE CAN CORRECT THE DISLOCATION BY MANUAL REDUCTION USING HIS BOTH HANDS.
