Hi there,
Thanks for your query.
Viapax, as such, does not cause horrible coughing. However, it can rarely cause allergic symptoms with increase in Eosinophils in the blood. Increased number of esinophils in the blood, causes dry hacking/nagging cough particularly in the evening/night. Hence, get her Blood Counts done.
A course of anti-histaminic drug will reduce
allergic cough.
Other cause of dry nocturnal cough is worms infestation.
Stool test will reveal presence of worms' ova/
cyst. In that case, monthly deworming course will eliminate cough.
Other causes :microfilarial infecton;
allergy of upper
respiratory tract.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
