How Are Lialda-DR And Balsalazide Disodium Different From Each Other?
I have been taking Lialda DR for a few years, however due to rising cost I had to switch to Balsalazide Disodium, which I haven t started on yet. I was just wondering what the differences are. I took 2 Lialda in the am and now I have to take 9 balsalazides a day.

Both drugs are different.
Lialda is a brand name of Mesalamine and Balsalazide is a different one.
Both are effective and safe for IBD. Lialda is superior in efficacy but the cost might be a problem.
