Hi,
Retroverted uterus or backward-facing uterus is seen in 20-30 percent of women. The causes are several like endometriosis, fibroids etc. and it can also be a natural phenomena. In pregnancy, correction usually takes place at 10-12 weeks. The uterus grows into an abdominal organ most often without any interruption. A sonogram of the pelvis will help to rule out any untoward effects. You should lie on your abdomen for a few hours everyday for a few days to help the ascent and correction as posture helps the uterus to fall forward. Hope this helps.
