Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.

Both your fasting blood glucose and post prandial blood glucose are high. Ideally, for your age, the fasting blood glucose should be

I understand that you are taking Gluconorm G1. You can increase your dose – you can take Gluconorm G1 two times a day – 30 min before breakfast and 30 min before dinner. In some patients, due tot his their sugars may fall low and patients may experience symptoms of hypoglycemia (fast heart beat, feeling faint, sweating excessively, blurred vision etc). To prevent this take a small healthy snack at mid-morning and in evening.

Kindly get your blood glucose checked again in 2 weeks’ time. If the levels are still high, you many need altering the dose again. Kindly get your HbA1C levels done too. This is a blood test which will measure the average blood glucose over the past 3 months. Ideally, for good diabetic control at your age it should be less than 6.5%.

I would advise you to eat healthy dietif youare not doing so. Eat plenty of vegetables, reduce the amount of carbohydrates like rice/chapatti/roti/bread etc., and take adequate quantities of protein, at least 2-3 serving of fruits/day. Avoid high calories, high fatty and high sugary food.

Kindly try to fit in exercise into your daily schedule. Ideally, you need to do moderate cardio exercise for at least 45 minutes; if unable to do at a stretch you can do the exercise in smaller chunks multiple times a day.

If you are overweight, following a good diet and exercise will help you reduce weight and this will weight loss will help you with good control of your blood glucose levels.

I hope this answer has helped you.

Thank you
