How Can Depo Shots Affect Bowel Movements While Experiencing Dry Flaky Skin And Redness Around The Eyes?

It probably isn t related, but my 14 year old daughter has had severe constipation (1 bowel mvmnt every 1-2 weeks, without laxative) since she received her first depo shot about 3 months ago. She does not hold in bowel movements and drinks about 48-60 oz of water a day. She also has dry flaky skin around her eyes along with red-purple around eyes, with a swollen patch on the right eyelid. She is very tired but has a regular sleep pattern of about 8 hours a night.

As per your complain you have problem of severe constipation that may be because of lack of high fiber foods and less drinking of water.

Intestinal obstruction also cause abdominal constipation problem.
Hypothyroidism also cause constipation problem.
Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.
Detail history and specoal investigation give exact idea about problems.
Start a treatment according to cause.
