How Can I Approach My Husband To Get Tested For Possible Bipolar?

My husband is 50 yrs old and we have been together for 4 yrs . I have thought he has a passive/ aggressive personality and now im concerned he is bipolar . I have brought it up to him and he just gets mad at me . What kind of a medical stand point can I approach him with so he would at least get testing for the possibility that he is bipolar . I love him But I cant nor my son have a healthy relationship with him as he is so impulsive that we never now when the monster side of him is going to be triggered and can never have any stability with him . Thank you for any advice or help you can give me .

Hello
There is no objective tests for diagnosing BPD.A competent psychiatrist can reach at the possibility of such diagnosis only after a detailed interview of you, your other family members and your husband. yu have to convince him to visit a psychiatrist. yes,it is always difficult but no other option.
