Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Went to my doctor today for a checkup. I had been experiencing heart flutters for the past few months. No shortness of breath, sweating, pain or cramping. Blood pressure turned out to be 190/90 and my pulse rate at rest was 41 which in itself is fairly normal for me. Never had high blood pressure before. He did an EKG and it showed a flutter while it was happening. The fluttering is constant.
Fluttering heart rate is indicative of rhythm disturbances and according to severity, type and quality it is being treated some time it may be temporary, underlying cause of it need to be found out with the high blood pressure, coronary artery disease need to be ruled out. Hope I answered your query, let me know for further assistance.
