How Can I Get Relief From A Slight Burning And A Lump-like Sensation In My Throat After Taking CellCept Pill?
It feels like when I took my 500mg CellCept pill an hour ago it got stuck in my throat, but I know it’s probably not stuck since it’s happened before. Is there any way for me to relieve the feeling at all? It feels like a slight burning but also like a lump is in my throat.
Stay upright; avoid lying down. Staying upright for at least 30–60 minutes will prevent reflux or worsening irritation. Throat lozenges may also help ease the irritation. Take small sips of water every few minutes to help soothe and wash any residue down. Eating a few bites of banana, soft bread, or yoghurt will help to carry down anything lingering and will coat your throat.
CellCept is acidic and can cause a burning sensation if it sits too long in your throat. Even when the pill has gone down, it can temporarily irritate the esophagus or throat lining, but it will not harm. However, if the symptoms get worse, get clinically examined by an ENT to rule out any underlying medical condition.
