Hello,

Placental hematoma is quite common in early pregnancy. As long as it is not expanding in size and volume you need not worry. Take adequate bed rest. Take the prescribed medication in the same time every day. Do follow up scans to access the size of hematoma and do a detailed anomaly scan before 20 weeks.

If the size of hematoma is stable or coming down you need not worry. The hematoma usually gets absorbed in 10 to 14 days. Treat local infection if you have any symptoms like itching or discharge. Also screen for any asymptomatic urinary tract infection. Avoid intercourse and take good rest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
