How Can I Manage Muscle Pain On My Right Side And Lower Right Back Into The Buttocks While Having ED?

My psa level rose from .8 to 2.2 in 16 months. I have had ED for a number of years, but now have muscle pain on my right side and lower right back into the buddicks. I had a yearly prostate exam in November and the prostate was normal size and no issues. I have no sign of blood in my urine or semen. What should I do?

Hello,

PSA level is slightly higher in older men than younger. You have not specified your age. Your PSA level is under normal limits presently & your prostate examination also shows normal size of prostate & no issues. Since your PSA level rose in 16 months, get clinically examined by a local GP to rule out prostatitis, infected or inflamed prostate.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH also causes increase in PSA level. Backache, ED and pain in the buttocks can be indicative of prostate can that has infiltered to the bones (secondary manifestation). However, lower back pain can be due to other factors like injury, strained muscles, sedentary lifestyle- sitting or standing for long periods.

Avoid sedentary lifestyle. Do regular walking & exercises. Get clinically evaluated and treated at the earliest. For relief, you can take acetaminophen, once daily for 3-5 days. Warm compression, massage and pain-relieving sprays on the affected area are helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
