How Can I Manage Recurring IBS With Frequent Bowel Movements, Gas, And Anal Burning, Which Isn’t Relieved Despite Medication?

Often I m getting this problem of IBS with frequent motion with gas. When the frequency is like six, seven times in two hours with small quantity I get irritation/burning sensation in anal mouth and slight trace of blood. A physician advised Metrogyl 400 as I am allergic to Ciplox TZ. After taking Flagyl blood stopped immediately and there is relief for two three weeks. Then again same problem. Taken Metrogyl for immediate relief. In the last three months 4 times happened. But this week I have same problem but not solved by Metrogyl. So I tried Sporlac still no relief. Now what should I do? Now physician advised Eldopar. Am 71 years male. Taking Tamdura for prostate problem and Telista MT 25 and Rozavel A for BP. Please prescribe medicines particularly for immediate relief from burning sensation.

Hello,

Apply Ano rectal cream or Anusum cream on the area affected to get relieve from burning sensation in the rectum. You can also take sitz bath twice or thrice daily to get relief. Burning sensation is indicative that you may have fissures. Get clinically examined locally before the symptoms worsen. To reduce the symptoms of IBS, frequent bowel movements, gas you will have to make dietary changes, lifestyle adjustments, along with the medical treatments being given.

Avoid taking food that trigger your symptoms. Avoid fatty foods, caffeine, spicy foods, and artificial sweeteners. To help regulate bowel movement, include high soluble fiber in your daily diet like oats, bananas, and psyllium husk. Drink water and prevent dehydration to help with digestion. Avoid constipation as it triggers gas formation.

Manage stress, do moderate exercises, avoid sedentary life, do regular walking, become active. Take probiotics it will improve gut health. Apply petroleum jelly before bowel movement. Try to take meals at the same time every day and maintain consistent sleep patterns. Work out your diet chart with a registered Nutritionist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
