Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can I Manage Upper Abdominal Pain And Gastritis?
For several weeks I have experienced upper abdominal pain accompanied with gas, and belching. The pain comes on strong and sometimes leads to nausea and vomiting. Prilosec and tums have not helped. The pain comes and goes and usually happens suddenly. I am a 42 year old female.
You have upper abdominal pain associated with gas and vomiting. As you are 42 years old, it is always advisable to get an upper GI endoscopy before coming to a diagnosis. So I suggest you to consult a gastroenterologist and get an upper GI endoscopy and then do any other investigations if needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Venkat Narayana Badipatla,
General Surgeon
