Hello,
Its good to know your awareness about sexually transmitted diseases. Some of them are curable, whereas hepatitis B and HIV are incurable.

Methods of prevention include
1. Testing both the partners for STDs
2. Using physical barrier methods of contraception like condoms & diaphragms.
3. Vaccination can be done for HPV, Hepatitis A & B
4. Avoiding vaginal, oral or anal intercourse with new partners until you are sure about their condition.
5. communicate and practice safe sex.

Hope this could answer your question. Any further queries, happy to help
