How Can I Safely Soften The Ear Plugs Caused By A Fungal Infection And Excessive Use Of Clotrimazole And Olive Oil?
Hello. I have a fungal ear infection in both ears that I have been using Clotrimazole Ear Drops for and I also used garlic and olive oil. Because the itching and burning was so bad I used a lot more than I should have and both of my ears are badly plugged, also there would be skin flakes in with the medicine as my ears were badly irritated, that s what the doctor told me. I used a bulb syringe quite a bit and really it just made the plug worse. It s very stuck in my ear canals and I can t get any Clotrimazole or anything into my ears now. I have been to Urgent Care and they have referred me to an ENT to have my ears cleaned by them because the doctor told me that it was too bad for them to do there at the General Practitioners doctors office. The ENT Doctor can t see me for 7 days so in the meantime I m suffering. I ve read a lot of things on the internet about unplugging ears but quite honestly I want to ask a professional because I don t want to make this worse. I m still going to see the ENT in seven days but in the meantime can you please tell me how to maybe soften the plugs? I need to at least be able to get medicine drops in my ears. I have tried heat on both ears for 12 hours in addition to several steaming sessions. It feels like it loosened it a little bit but my ears are making very loud tinnitus (Partially from them being so plugged, I ve also had loud tinnitus off and on from this infection) and their starting to burn from not having medicine in them. I m sorry that I typed so much but I want to be very specific so that you have enough information to answer my question. Thank you so much for your help!
