Hello,

You are suggested to stay at rest. Take sips of water to prevent dehydration. Stay calm and relax. Take antidiarrheal medicine to stop diarrhea. Take PPIs, one stat to prevent abdominal discomfort. You can take anti emetic, one SOS when needed so that you don't continue to vomit. If your vomiting continues you should visit ER, you need shots/injection to stop vomiting.

Once vomiting stops, you can take toast biscuits or plain biscuits with a little water or red tea. Keep yourself away from stress and anxiety. You should start feeling better in a few hours. Once you are better take fluids and water to stay hydrated. Take home-made bland food. for a few days till you are better. Avoid fatty food, dairy products, dried fruits, wheat-based foods, cereals etc., to avoid complications with IBS. Avoid broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, beans, pears, and plums in your diet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
