How Can Parkinson's Disease Be Managed?

My first cousin is 67 years old and has stage two Parkinson. He lives by himself in NYC. I live about 3 hours away. How do you suggest our family supports his health challenges? I don't have any reports or images only an email address: YYYY@YYYY

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Parkinson's disease is complicated. He needs to see a neurologist that specializes in Parkinson's regularly. The family can support him by watching for signs of depression and dementia. These complications do not always occur with Parkinson's but are areas of concern. You can also just be a general support with visits and phone calls.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
